'HUMAN PSYCHOLOGY'

These five essays were part of a 'Human Psychology' course. They mainly deal with how we behave in the presence of others. Scandal mongers will find an excuse for their mis-telling of rumours told to them by others (see essay: 'Attitudes & Beliefs'). This was an interesting course as it brings home, how we as individuals behave.

This essay looks at how we perceive. Are we pre-programmed to fail or succeed. How do we survey a scene, and from it extract information, and upon that perceived information what action do we take. Why do two people receiving the same information act differently.

This is a rather short 'Pavlov' essay. However it has been extended to include 'Operant Conditioning' which moves on from Pavlov. It certainly explains how we behave when in a crowd of other like minded people.

Oh dear.!This essay attempts to explain why we (me and you of course) are so deviant. It also castigates the Psychiatrist, who with his mumbo jumbo mis-diagnoses the populance at large. Reading it will probably send you as crazy as it did me.

You should read this essay carefully before you go out and meet your mates/lover etc. It will make you never trust anyone you cannot see in person ever again. The essay is only a short one of 600 words.

Do you know what 'Consonance' or 'Disonance' is ?. Well it explains how we can be made to believe something we know not to be true, simply because we do not want to stand out in a crowd. ("We go with the flow") Well worth a read (only 600 words long)

The remaining essays in this series will be loaded later this month.
